Al Sabkha Road is a small road but definitely full of jest and life in the heart of Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Beautifully situated along the enchanted and romantic Dubai Creek, there are a lot of flourishing businesses started here which reflects and could be seen up to this moment. Arabic restaurants, shawarma nooks, electronic shops, bargain shops, clothing,
perfumes and almost name it you have it are all available here. If you are smart and resourceful enough you can buy retail items in wholesale prices. Al Sabkha area is also packed with the latest in electronics, ipads, celphones, video, audio and TV systems, home appliances and photographic equipments at very competitive prices.
Al Sabkha Road is adjacent to Naif Road, Al Daghaya, Deira Street, Al Musallah Road, Baniyas Square and Al Maktoum Hospital Road. Long ago, since it was a marshland (Al Sabkha in Arabic) the great ruler build smaller ports which later on used as abra (small boat) terminal which transport people from Deira district to the opposite side of Dubai now known as Burdubai. It is only a 5 to minute ride through this small boat and you only pay one dirham per journey!
